• You have a BCCNM registration number if you are/were registered as a midwife in BC.
• You have a BCCNM identification number if you are a student registrant.

Important notice about account creation

Please do not create an account unless you meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Students

• You are currently enrolled in the UBC midwifery education program or the Internationally Educated Midwives Bridging Program (IEMBP) and require student midwife registration; OR
• You are currently enrolled in a Canadian midwifery education program and are coming to BC for a placement and require student midwife registration; or

Midwives eligible to practise in Canada

• You are a graduate of a BCCNM approved midwifery education program and are applying for registration; OR
• You hold practising midwife (or its equivalent) registration in another regulated Canadian jurisdiction and are applying for registration.

Internationally educated midwives

Internationally educated midwives cannot apply directly to BCCNM until they have met the requirements for registration with the college. Please do not create an account until you meet the eligibility criteria.
